Overview

The VP Supply Chain Innovation oversees strategy and execution in the key areas of freight and warehouse operations, demand planning, production, DC automation, and scheduling support for multiple brands and channels.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive logistics (DC Management, Transportation, DC Technology) and distribution strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability
  • Develop and maintain the structure and policies necessary to ensure the optimum supply chain for achieving company objectives
  • Oversee a complementary eCommerce operation supporting an omni-channel model
  • Oversee logistics strategy, including warehousing requirements, materials movement, freight management, inventory control methods, automation and safety initiatives
  • Manage and optimize supply chain logistics network with multiple distribution centers/nodes in support of a multi-brand organization
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within domestic guidelines.
  • Implement best in class WMS technology and infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie a supply chain operation.
  • Financially forecast operations capital and expenses with accuracy
  • Determine and beat key KPIs and drive operational excellence and best practices across the network while gaining efficiency year over year

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field – APICS designation preferred
  • 15+ years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions, operations experience an asset
  • Well-verse with multi-brand DC operations, DC automation / technology, and MHE
  • Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources
  • Capacity to build relationships internally and externally
  • Strong analytical, financial and P&L skills required to succeed
  • Ability to transform and reinvent current business model to a supply chain engine of the future
  • In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices
  • Solid judgment to know what is appropriate for the company size/scope
  • Ability to influence and communicate across the organization to enact the most effective efficient logistics solutions for the varied business units
  • Flexibility to seek and incorporate input from others into the plan/solid track record for effectively managing/developing a team
  • Demonstrated experience in creating/upgrading the distribution function in an organization of similar size and scope
  • Experience in supply chain technology/processes
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
