Overview

As our Social Media Coordinator, you'll be the digital storyteller behind our brand, crafting compelling narratives that inspire our community of home decor enthusiasts. You'll have the opportunity to shape how millions of follower’s experience Kirkland's Home across social platforms and drive meaningful engagement that converts to sales.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Lead content creation across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
  • Produce scroll-stopping video content, including Instagram Reels and TikToks
  • Craft authentic, on-brand copy that resonates with home decor enthusiasts
  • Develop and maintain an engaging content calendar that aligns with business objectives
  • Partner with photographers and designers to produce high-quality visual assets

 

Community Management & Growth

  • Build and nurture an engaged community of home decor enthusiasts
  • Respond to comments and DMs with our brand's distinctive voice
  • Identify and engage with key community members and potential brand advocates
  • Monitor and report on community health metrics

 

Insights & Analytics

  • Track and analyze social media metrics to optimize performance
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities for brand relevance
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for content strategy
  • Collaborate with x-functional teams to amplify organic content

 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, and Store Operations teams to align social strategy with business goals
  • Support influencer partnerships and PR initiatives
  • Share social insights with broader organization
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Kirkland’s Values
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience managing social media for a brand
  • Proven track record of growing engaged social communities
  • Strong eye for visual aesthetics and current social media trends
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities
  • Experience with social media management tools (Emplifi a plus)
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in social analytics
  • Portfolio of social content you've created
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video creation and editing
  • Background in interior design or home décor
  • Experience using Canva to design content and layouts
  • Willingness to audit content from disparate locations to build a content calendar
